ABOUT

  • During my teenage years, I became deeply drawn to the world of piercings and tattoos. It was during this time that I encountered the fascinating technique of dot-work and, more broadly, geometric tattooing.

At the age of nineteen, I made the decision to move to Spain, where I pursued a degree in Psychology, finally obtained in 2015. However, two years before completing my university studies, in 2013, I made the definitive choice to delve into the art of tattooing.

From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to specialize in the geometric style, and I followed this path faithfully. Over time, I found myself increasingly influenced by tribal and modern tribal art, leading me to experiment with a fusion of modern and traditional tattooing styles. This artistic journey eventually led me to Berlin, where I believed I could learn from some of the most exceptional tattoo artists in the field.

After some years of experience in studios abroad, I am now back in Italy, where I passionately develop my art every day.

TATTOO STYLES

  • Pierluigi Cretella Neotribal Back Tattoo

    Neotribal

The term "neotribal" refers to a contemporary artistic approach that draws inspiration from traditional tribal tattoos while incorporating modern design elements and techniques. Neotribal tattoos typically feature bold black lines, solid black, and shadows. Neotribal tattoos are characterized by their fusion of traditional tribal tattoo elements with contemporary influences.

  • Pierluigi Cretella Art Nouveau Back Tattoo

    Art Nouveau

Art Nouveau style in tattooing is an artistic approach that draws inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, which flourished during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This style is characterized by its emphasis on flowing lines, organic forms, and ornamental motifs. In tattooing, this translates into grace. The feeling that Art Nouveau tattoos evoke is one of beauty and a connection to nature.

  • Pierluigi Cretella Ornamental Tattoo Style

    Ornamental

The ornamental bold line style in tattooing is a unique variation of the ornamental style that emphasizes bold, thick lines to create a visually striking and impactful design. It maintains the intricate and decorative nature of ornamental tattoos while adding a strong and bold element to the overall composition. The feeling that ornamental bold line tattoos evoke is one of strength, power, and confidence.

  • Pierluigi Cretella Future Back Tattoo in Progress

    Future

The "future" style requires all techniques, making it the most comprehensive and demanding. The goal is to convey a sense of a language from the future, but not in a "cybernetic" version, rather towards an organic and tribal aesthetic simultaneously. We could say that this style takes classical tribal elements and updates them, creating a dynamic visual experience more akin to another world.
